Starting 2023 Strong

Are you looking to improve your health in 2023? So are we! That's why we have made the resolution to provide the highest quality of personal care to help you restore your body, and it's why I am starting this blog.

My name is Daniel Hockstra, and I am the lead chiropractor at Gentle Touch Chiropractic. I am a certified full body chiropractic and Active Release Technique provider, performing muscle and nutritional work for patients and professional athletes.

In 2005, I opened GTC's first location with the goal of providing one-one-one, hands on, personal care for my patients. Over the past seventeen years, we have expanded to offer various chiropractic and nutritional services at a second location to serve your unique needs.

But why am I writing a blog? It's the same reason I opened GTC nearly eighteen years ago: to help you restore your body. My goal is to provide you with the tools and information you need to improve your health and keep you moving.

You will learn about the importance of continuous movement, a variety of nutritional information, how to improve your posture using workplace and computer ergonomics, the power of sleep to heal your body, the health benefits of spending time outdoors, and much more.

If you want to restore your body in 2023, make a commitment about your health and create a specific plan to help you achieve that overall goal. Write down where you are today so you can track your progress throughout the year. Instead of focusing on what you are going to avoid, focus on what you are going to do instead. Your goal could be as simple as "I'm going to eat healthier this year." Once you have determined your goal, create a plan that is going to help you achieve it. If your goal is to eat healthier, your plan could be to replace processed sugar with a fruit or vegetable in every meal.

In 2023, I am committing to strengthening my body and improving my stability by performing a set of pushups every day. You might not know exactly how you are going to accomplish your goal, and that's okay. Try be as specific as possible with your plan.

Whatever your goal may be, try and incorporate movement in some way. Walking, jogging, or any other type of activity increases blood flow and will significantly improve your overall health.

We are here to help you reclaim your health. That's our mission. Click below and subscribe to be the first to learn about new blog posts.
