OVERVIEW
During a chiropractic treatment, Dr. Hockstra uses his hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatment protocols (over 500 specific moves) are unique to Active Release Technique. They allow Dr. Hockstra to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient.
ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE
A.R.T. is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with A.R.T.
NEW TREATMENT
Normatec Compression
Normatec utilizes a patented technology that massages the legs and hips with pneumatic compression to increase circulation and rejuvenate your muscles. Treatments cost $25 for 30 minutes.

When scheduling an initial Nutritional Consultation with our office, you will meet one-on-one to create a custom nutritional plan based upon your lifestyle. You will receive guidelines for practical meal planning based on food ratios. Additionally, nutraceutical grade supplementation may be recommended based upon your specific health needs. After the initial nutritional evaluation, patients may choose from a few weeks to a few months Functional Medicine based nutritional program.
